- This cot mattress has two layers of foam:- a gentle soft side for your newborn baby and a firmer side suited for when your baby is a few months old.
- The foam used on the soft side is the best CMHR35, this is a Class S modified foam, with a "soft" rating
- The foam on the firmer side is also top quality CMHR35 foam.it has a "firm" rating
- The cot mattress has a special sprung core made from 70 individual "mini- bonnell" springs. giving the mattress increased durability, allowing for an ideal layer of foam covering, and promotes good heat dissipation across the mattress
- The foam is compleltely wrapped in a "stockinette cover", reducing "foam grip" an allowing the outer "Safetex plus" cover to be removed (for washing) easily without struggling.
- The cot mattress is cover is made of "Safetex plus" which is breathable highly water resistant yet allow air through. to totally prevent the core from spillage see the New Reassuance Plus (below)
- The cover combined with the foam interior affords heat dissipation and breathability helping to ensure your baby does not overheat
- The Safetex Plus cover can be machine washed at 60°c . You need to be able to wash a cover at more than 55°c to kill dust mites
- The Safetex Plus cover can be easily removed for washing it has been designed with a zip on three sides.
- This foam does not contain any added antimony or phosphorous
